Cause &
Effect

This 6-hour online course teaches you how emotional experiences, mental states, and external events create physiological consequences in the body — and how to identify the largest deposit – the original cause behind current symptoms.

Based on Tibetan cause-of-illness philosophy and the Sorensensistem™ Method.

This course is for Facial Reflexology students who want to deepen their understanding of tissue deposits and their role in therapy.

Understanding
Cause & Effect

The Cause & Effect principle holds that symptoms do not appear randomly.

Behind every physical complaint, there may be:

• An earlier emotional experience
• A mental state held over time
• An external event that created imbalance
• An unresolved internal reaction

According to Tibetan philosophy and the Sorensensistem™ Method, illness begins when the balance between body and mind is disturbed.

If the original emotional impact is not corrected, it may result in deposits in the reflex areas of the face, hands, or feet.

Over time, these deposits may block important reflex and nerve communication pathways. When this communication is disrupted, the body’s regulatory systems can lose balance, leading to functional disturbances, symptoms, and eventually illness.

The Core
Principle

The course teaches you to distinguish between:

1️⃣ The Primary Cause
The original emotional or mental imbalance.

2️⃣ The Deposit
The stored imprint in the reflex area.

3️⃣ The Symptom
The current physical manifestation.

4️⃣ The Consequence
The long-term development if untreated.

Understanding this order changes how treatment is structured.

Why This Matters

Treating only the symptom may bring temporary relief.
Treating the cause creates a deeper and more sustainable balance.

This course helps you recognize where the imbalance began — and how to apply treatment in the correct therapeutic sequence.

Clinical Applications

The Cause & Effect approach can be integrated into any reflex therapy session as a deeper analytical framework.

It is especially relevant when working with:

By understanding the emotional origin behind a physical condition, the therapist can structure treatment in the correct order:

First, address the primary imbalance,
then support the current symptom.

This creates a more coherent, logical, and sustainable therapeutic process.

Professional Outcomes

After completing this 6-hour course, participants will:

This course strengthens your clinical logic.

Instead of treating isolated symptoms, you will learn how to recognize the origin of imbalance and structure treatment accordingly — creating more coherent and sustainable outcomes in practice.

Program
Structure

The Cause & Effect course follows a clear conceptual progression.

This 6-hour program guides you step by step through the logic of imbalance — from the emotional origin to the physical consequence — and teaches you how to structure treatment in the correct therapeutic order.

The course is organized into clear thematic parts:

Foundations of Cause & Effect

Understanding the body–mind relationship and the Tibetan view of illness.

Emotional Impact & Deposit Formation

How unresolved experiences create deposits in reflex zones.

The 5-Element Tibetan work

Mapping emotional states to organ systems and physiological patterns.

Basic vs Additional Treatment

Learning why treatment must always begin with the original imbalance before addressing current symptoms.

Clinical Case Progression

Analyzing how imbalance evolves from emotion to chronic condition.

Each part builds structured clinical reasoning rather than an isolated technique.

Exploring how emotional experiences influence the nervous system and organ function.

Understanding why imbalance begins in the interaction between mental state and physical response.

Learning how unresolved experiences form deposits in reflex zones over time.

Understanding how the oldest deposit often represents the original imbalance.

Study of the emotional–organ correspondence model:

• Fear
• Anger
• Worry
• Sadness
• Frustration

How each element relates to specific organ systems, glands, plexuses and muscle groups.

Why treatment must first address the oldest and largest deposit.

How the base treatment rebalances the original disturbance before symptom correction.

After correcting the cause, the current symptom is addressed.

Understanding how to select the appropriate additional techniques according to the affected element.

Analyzing how an unresolved emotional imbalance may develop progressively:

Emotional impact → Functional disturbance → Symptom → Chronic disease.

This strengthens treatment logic and sequencing.

Online
Learning Format

The Cause & Effect course is delivered as a structured 6-hour online intensive program.

The format combines:

• Clear conceptual explanations
• Visual diagrams of the 5-element emotional model
• Step-by-step understanding of treatment sequencing
• Clinical examples and case progression analysis
• Practical integration into reflex therapy sessions

The material is presented in a logical and accessible way, allowing participants to understand complex cause–symptom relationships without requiring an advanced medical background.

The course can be followed at your own pace and revisited for deeper integration.

The program includes:

• Introduction to the Tibetan cause-of-illness philosophy
• Body–mind–emotion interaction model
• The 5 emotional Tibetan elements framework
• Deposit analysis and interpretation
• Basic Treatment structure (Phase 1)
• Additional Treatment structure (Phase 2)
• Clinical case example progression
• Structured reasoning for protocol planning
• Tests and exam cases
• Personal support with Lone Sorensen

The program connects emotional origin analysis with structured reflex-based treatment sequencing.
