Introduction to
Facial Reflexology

The First Step into the Method Lone Sorensen

Facial Reflexology is one of the most advanced reflexology therapy systems developed over more than four decades of clinical experience.

12 hours. Discover the origins and philosophy behind the Sorensensistem™ Method and follow the development of Facial Reflexology and Neuro Reflexology from 1978 until today.

In this introductory course, Lone Sorensen shares the inspiration behind her work, including influences from Tibetan Medicine, ancient reflex traditions, and modern neurological understanding that today form the foundation of her international school.

You will also learn simple and practical techniques that can be used with family members or combined with other wellness and therapy methods.

This course is not a professional certification, but an opportunity to explore the bigger picture behind the method and discover if this path of learning resonates with you.

Lone Sorensen

Founder of the Lone Sorensen Method™

47 years experience

Facial Reflexology is based on the principle that the face contains neurological reflex areas and points connected to the entire body.

Through gentle manual stimulation of these areas and points, impulses are sent through the nervous system to the brain, organs, and glands.

These signals may support the body’s regulatory systems and enhance functional balance.

The method developed by Lone Sorensen integrates knowledge from multiple therapeutic traditions, including microsystem reflexology, principles of Tibetan medicine, and modern neurophysiology.

This combination allows practitioners to approach health conditions from both a neurological and holistic perspective.

Foundations of the Sorensensistem™ Method

Participants are introduced to the development of the method and the theoretical background behind facial reflexology therapy.

Topics include:

• History and development of Facial Reflexology method
• Reflexology micro-system principles
• Tibetan medical concepts of cause and effect
• Neurological reflex connections on the face

Students also begin learning some of the basic stimulation techniques used in facial reflexology.

Explanation of the cerebral cortex, brain lobes, and the functional specialization of the left and right hemispheres. Participants learn how hemispheric cooperation influences coordination, perception, and neurological regulation.

Introduction to some of the stimulation steps used in the Sorensensistem™ method, including NP points, facial symmetry stimulation, muscle coordination techniques, and reflex integration steps.

Understanding how facial reflexology stimulation may influence the nervous system, blood circulation to the brain, and lymphatic movement, supporting neurological balance and overall regulation.

Simple, easy and effective stimulation from reflex areas on the face for pain treatment
