Returning to the Roots: The Forgotten Power of Traditional Chinese Foot Reflexology
- Date November 14, 2025
More than 46 years ago, my professional journey began with a method that, to this day, remains unknown: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Foot Reflexology. This was not the Western version of reflexology familiar to most therapists today. It was the original method, born from the philosophy of energy flow through meridians, developed thousands of years ago, and directly connected to the wisdom of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
At that time, reflexology was still an obscure subject in Europe. I was fortunate — and deeply grateful — to have learned this authentic TCM method as my first introduction to reflex therapy. It became the foundation of everything that followed in my life’s work.
The Beginning of a Journey
With this method, I began my practice in Denmark. The results were immediate and profound. I witnessed how the careful, coordinated stimulation of the meridian pathways through the feet could influence not only physical functions but also emotional and neurological balance. My clients’ transformations inspired me to dedicate my life to understanding the human body in all its complexity — and soon after, to teaching others.
Years later, my professional path led me to Argentina, where I deepened my studies in neurology and worked with doctors and researchers.
There, I realized that the TCM reflexology method I had learned decades earlier was more than just a technique — it was a complete system of neurophysiological regulation.
This understanding became the foundation for the methods known today: Facial Reflexology, Neuro Foot Reflexology (Praxis Vertebralis), Neuro Hand Therapy, Temprana Reflex Therapy, and the Rehabilitation Method.
A Modern Evolution – Without Losing the Essence
Over time, I began to integrate other dimensions of traditional medicine into my work — especially Tibetan Medicine and the Tibetan 5-Element Color System. This fusion brought a new level of harmony and precision to the original TCM method, without ever altering its fundamental structure.
What makes this method unique is not so much the reflex zones themselves, but the order, rhythm, coordination, and the very special manual stimulation. It is a method of precision and connection, a special movement of your fingers and hands, in which every movement follows a biological and energetic logic that mirrors the meridian system.
Why Return Now?
When I returned to Europe after my years in Argentina, I decided to introduce Facial Reflexology to the world — a completely new and unexplored field at that time. I thought to myself: “Why fight for space in a field already full of schools and practitioners when I have something entirely new to offer?” Facial Reflexology became my focus and, over the years, the Method developed into a global education system.
Yet, after more than four decades of teaching, I feel called to return to where it all began — to the ancient TCM foot reflexology method that shaped my professional life and gave me my first proper understanding of the body’s energetic and neurological intelligence.
The Course: Reconnecting to the Source
The TCM Foot Reflexology Method will now be offered as a complete LIVE online training consisting of five modules — 80 hours in total — during which I will teach this original system exactly as I learned it, enriched with my modern understanding of neuroreflexology and holistic medicine.
This course is not just technical training. It is an invitation to return to the roots of reflexology, to rediscover the foundation that all later systems are built upon. It is a method that can be practiced on its own or combined with Facial Reflexology and Neuro Foot Reflexology for extraordinary results.
Preserving a Legacy
This return to the TCM method is not nostalgia — it is preservation. Preservation of knowledge, of history, and of the original essence of reflexology before it became simplified and detached from its deeper meaning.
To my Master Practitioners in Neuro Reflexology, I want to offer the opportunity to be part of this revival first — to learn the method in its purest form and to carry it forward with the understanding and respect it deserves.
For me, this is more than a new course. It is a tribute to the beginning, and a way to ensure that future generations of therapists can experience the same professional transformation that I did 46 years ago.
Because sometimes, to move forward, we must go back to where everything began.
